At around 7:00 a.m. the Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire Department responded to a single motor vehicle collision located on Blyth Road (Huron County #25) west of Walton.
After an investigation it was determined a sport utility vehicle was travelling eastbound on Blyth Road (Huron County #25) when the vehicle left the roadway, entered into the south ditch and collided with a tree. Upon colliding with tree the vehicle became fully engulfed in fire.
The driver/lone occupant died at the scene.
The deceased has yet to be identified.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation with assistance from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team.
Blyth Road (Huron County #25) is currently closed between Clyde Line and Brussels Line. Please use an alternate route to avoid delays.
