Police are investigating a break and enter that took place in Clinton recently.
Sometime between August 23rd at 6 PM and 7 AM on August 24th, an Albert Street business was entered through an exterior door.
Once inside about $2000 worth of equipment and merchandise was stolen including cosmetic, lotions and stereo equipment.

Huron County OPP would like to offer the following tips to help property owners protect their property:
· Deter potential criminals. Ensure outside lights work and consider motion sensor lighting
· Prevent break and enters. Keep garage doors and entry doors secure at all times
· Lock doors and windows. Even if you’re going out for a short time. Install quality locks and a deadbolt on each outside door.
· Avoid access by intruders. Lock your vehicles at all times. Remove or secure valuables out of sight, even when in the garage.
· Store bicycles and other valuables in garages and sheds.
· Trees, shrubs and fences can create hiding spots for criminals. Keep your landscaping groomed and limit privacy fencing.
· Watch for suspicious people or activity in your neighbourhood. If you see something, say something! Don’t hesitate to call police if something seems out of place.
