Premier Doug Ford has just announced the Province is bringing in Enhanced COVID-19 Certificates starting on September 22nd.
Ontarians will have to provide proof of vaccination and a photo ID to access certain businesses including: bars and restaurants excluding outdoor dining, nightclubs, meeting and event spaces, facilities used for sports including gyms and recreation centre, sporting events, casinos, bingo halls, concerts, strip clubs and racing venues.
Health Minister Christine Elliott reassured Ontarians that they won’t need the certificate for essential services like grocery stores or hospitals.
On October 22nd the Province will be rolling out an app which will allow businesses to scan QR codes of vaccinated people.
