Great news for local municipalities.
Yesterday (Weds), Lambton Kent Middlesex MPP Monte McNaughton announced that Strathroy-Caradoc, Lucan Biddulph and the Municipality of Lambton Shore were all getting funding as part of the Ontario Rural Economic Development program.
Lambton Shores will be getting $42, 725 to develop a Community Improvement Plan that will help attract and retain jobs and drive economic growth.
Lucan Biddulph will be getting $2700 to install artwork and Christmas lights which will further support the communities holiday shopping season.
“Small businesses are the lifeblood of our communities, which is why it is so important we continue to invest in them,” said MPP McNaughton in a press release. “These projects will provide local entrepreneurs with the resources and tools they need to take their businesses to the next level, creating more local jobs and keeping those that already exist close to home.”
