Smith, a native of Goderich, has entered the race to represent the riding on Parliament Hill.
He says he wants to get away from large government involvement.
Smith says serving his community has always been a priority.
Smith is running against incumbent Conservative Ben Lobb, NDP’s Jan Johnstone, Liberals James Rice and People’s Party of Canada Jack Stecho.
