But before we talk about tonight, we have to discuss how we got here.
Lambton-Kent Middlesex became a riding in 1996 when the ridings of Kent and Lambton-Middlesex amalgamated.
Liberal Rose Marie Ur held the seat from 1997 until the 2006 election when Conservative Bev Shipley won the seat when Ur stopped running.
Shipley steered the ship in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex until he retired just before the 2019 election.
Incumbent Conservative Lianne Rood took over the role from Bev Shipley.
