The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority has issued a Flood Warning as a result of all of the rain over the last 12 hours and the potential for 50-60mm over the next 12 hours.
Originally, it was forecasted that there would be two waves of heavy rain, which have now joined and became one extended period of heavy rain. It is expected that there will be another 50mm over the next 12 hours and then it will taper off overnight.
Due to this the ABCA have issued a Flood Warning to the entire ABCA Watershed rivers and streams.
Flows on the larger rivers will not peak until Thursday and Friday, and they will remain higher than normal over the weekend. The warning will remain in effect until 9am on Friday.
