A State of Emergency has been issued in Middlesex County as well as area roads.
Warden and Lucan Biddulph Mayor Cathy Burghardt-Jesson declared the emergency last night after a meeting with emergency operators due to the heavy amounts of rain.
Some parts of Middlesex County have gotten 100 mm of rain or more in the past 24 hours and some roads are underwater and in danger of washouts.
The County has closed numerous roads:
– Pike Road from Mullifarry Drive to Napperton Road (Adelaide Metcalfe)
– Napperton Road from Kerwood Road to Pike Road (Adelaide Metcalfe)
– Elginfield Road from Centre Road to Cassidy Road (North Middlesex)
– Petty Street from Centre Road to Narin Road (North Middlesex)
Motorist are reminded to NOT drive their vehicles through water or in areas where the road is not visible
The County is also keeping an eye on the following roads:
– Cassidy Road from Elginfield Road to McGillivray Drive (North Middlesex)
– Mullifarry Drive from Centre Road to Pike Road (Adelaide Metcalfe)
– Thames Road from Calvert Drive to Glendon Drive (Southwest Middlesex)
