On Wednesday Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland announced a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy.
What this means is all core federal public service employees including boarder guards, and the RCMP will need to be fully vaccinated by October 29th.
Anyone who remains unvaccinated will go on unpaid leave, which could start as early as November 15th.
There are some exemptions including medical and religious grounds.
Prime Minister Trudeau announced that anyone 12 and older must be fully vaccinated to travel on planes and trains by the end of October, and that a negative test will no longer be accepted by the end of November.
