Stratford Police are continuing to investigate a hate-motivated incident in the City.
On Friday October 8th around 1:30 AM police were called about hate-motivated graffiti to the newly completed Pride crosswalk on Wellington and Downie Streets.
Paint had been dumped on the crosswalk in various areas, and was still wet when officers arrived.
Public Works crews cleaned up the graffiti, but the suspect is unknown at this time.
Police said in a statement that they stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ2+ community and these acts of hate will not be tolerated.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
