An OPP cruiser at the London detachment off Exeter Road.
A Huron County man is facing 20 charges following an investigation.
Police allege that during the early morning hours of October 25th and 26th the man trespassed onto properties in Wingham and stole various items from cars.
The man then took off with an SUV from a Boland Street property.
Police caught up with him but he failed to stop, and took off.
The vehicle and the man were found nearby and officers did a drug recognition evaluation which proved the man was impaired by drugs.
Meth, stolen id, stolen debit cards, and unmarked cigarettes were found during the investigation.
30 year old Matthew Bouvier from Seaforth has been charged with:
· Trespass at Night – 2 counts
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – 4 counts
· Possession of an Identity Document
· Theft of Motor Vehicle
· Failure to Stop after Accident
· Flight from Police Officer
· Dangerous Operation
· Operation While Impaired
· Operation While Prohibited – 2 counts
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
· Driving While Under Suspension – 3 counts
· Possess Unmarked Cigarettes
