The Bayfield Mainstreet Revitalization project design was presented to Bluewater Council on Monday, and outlines the plans for the project as well as the projected timeline.
Dave Kester, Manager of Public Works for the Municipality said that this project has been talked about for decades, but council over the past year and a half has really concentrated on getting it done. As for what the plans include, Kester says that there are quite a few things that will be changing.
The project will take a while to complete, Kester explains.
The reason the project may take longer is because they will be suspending construction a few times to allow for winter weather and summer traffic.
As for how much money is being allocated to the project, the full budget is $2,833,247, which is a combined budget from the 2021 Budget as well as from the 2021 Gas tax.
