St. Mary’s Youth Centre is trying its best to provide young people with a fun and safe space.
Recreation Supervisor Darcy Drummond says the facility aims to help its members socialize, hang out and participate offering a sense of community spirit.
The centre offers two streams of programs for youth, geared towards Grade 3 to 6 with a mix of unstructured play and organized activities. Drummond gives us some examples.
Starting November 5th, on Friday nights, Grade 7 to 10s can enjoy the VIP Pre-game zone for a toonie. With a gradual open, the Youth Centre is looking to eventually offer registered programs where some may be free and some will have a small cost.
