Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP Lianne Rood was recently appointed the Conservative Shadow minister for Rural Economic Development and Rural Broadband Strategy in the new Conservative Shadow Cabinet.
Previously, MP Rood was the Shadow Minister for Agriculture and Agri-Food, a role which made her the most lobbied Conservative in parliament. A shadow Minister, she explains, critiques the governments plans to better serve Canadians.
MP Rood had the issue of broadband internet reaching rural Canadians on her platform in the most recent elections, and knows the importance of bringing access of safe, reliable internet to all Canadians, not just those in urban centres.
