The Ontario Provincial Police are reminding people about general safety tips, and rules during hunting season.
Jamie Stanley, OPP Media Relations Officer said that there are quite a few general safety tips they have for hunters, including be sure to tell someone where you are going, and don’t be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Other advice he had was to be sure to have your outdoor card, hunting and fire arms license near by. He also recommends bringing a cell phone in case of emergency.
