The shoppability project in Clinton was recently awarded one of two Accessibility Awards by the County of Huron with the Award of Merit for Barrier-Free Design.
Angela Smith, community improvement coordinator said that the program saw push buttons installed at doors, and some doorbells installed, among other things. But the program isn’t perfect yet.
Smith says that so far they have seen a great response to the program, and the business owners are happy with the changes they are making.
