MPP Lisa Thompson is calling on the public for nominations for this year’s Remarkable Citizens, as a way to recognize the all of the dedication and volunteer work done in the community by locals.
Each year, Remarkable Citizens in the community are recognized and celebrated for being dedicated, respected community leaders and volunteers, for their impact in the community.
This year due to COVID the event will be held virtually, by the MPP, on January 12th 2022. MPP Thompson explains why this is a great event to have.
At the event this year, they will also be recognizing those who were nominated for 2020 as the pandemic stopped them from being able to hold the event for those people, so both 2020 and 2021 remarkable citizens will be recognized.
The deadline is on Friday December 17th.
To nominate someone, describe in approximately 250 words, the person’s contribution to the community and why you feel they are deserving, and send it to diane.foxton@pc.ola.org. Please include contact information (mailing address, email, and phone number) for both the nominee and the nominator. Also include two photographs of the nominee.
