Huron Perth residents are asked to take action now to protect themselves and loved ones from the rapidly spreading Omicron variant.
Omicron now makes up about 30 percent of provincial COVID-19 cases, and while vaccines remain the best protection other steps are recommended.
Huron Perth Public Health is asking people to isolate if you develop symptoms, all close contacts regardless of vaccination status are required to isolate for 10 days and get tested, and get your third dose of the vaccine when you are eligible.
HPPH is also recommending everyone to limit contact and gatherings as much as possible, including no more than 10 people in a home, and everyone 12 or older should be vaccinated.
The Health Unit also says anyone 12 or older who is unvaccinated should avoid all non-essential indoor contact with people not in their household, and when possible work remotely.
Third doses are open now for people 50 and older, and details how to book an appointment can be found on our website.
Getting a vaccination HPPH is adding more vaccine appointments as quickly as possible. Visit www.hpph.ca/vaccinebooking or call 1-833-753-2098 to book.
