The Ontario Provincial Police are giving their advice for drivers as we all adjust to the winter road conditions.
Jeff Hare Media Relations Community Safety Officer with the Middlesex Detachment said that for general day to day advice, general advice is to adjust your driving based on the conditions at the time, make sure that you leave enough space between vehicles, and turn your lights on so that both your headlights and your taillights are on.
As for how to prepare for an emergency situation or in the event that you get stranded, keep extra blankets in your car, ensuring that your phone is charged, don’t leave the vehicle, and always have at least half a tank of gas in your car.
