The Avon Maitland District School Board is changing their COVID-19 reporting procedures to match Ministry guidelines.
What this means is schools will no longer report individual COVID-19 cases as they are no longer being informed of the cases by public health.
Everyone who attends or works at a school is asked to notify their close contacts if they test positive using a rapid test.
Principals are reporting daily absences to the Ministry of Education, and starting on January 24th the information will be posted on the Ministries website.
If the absence rate is 30 percent or higher, then Huron Perth Public Health will be notified, however the numbers are all absences not just COVID related.
