A cold weather alert has been issued by the Lambton County Medical Officer of Health.
The alert will remain in place until Thursday as the temperatures are predicted to be at least minus 15 overnight tonight and tomorrow.
Overexposure to the cold can be hazardous and cause hypothermia
Homeless shelters and agencies are asked to prepare for higher than usual numbers.
