A Huron County OPP officer narrowly escaped serious injury last week in Goderich.
On January 19th around 1:15 PM, officers went to the mini-mall parking lot on Victoria Street to check on the condition of a driver parked in the lot.
Police tried to arrest the driver for a conditional release issue, and then the passenger obstructed the arrest, and reversed the vehicle.
Thankfully the officer was able to move out of the way.
Additional police arrived and arrested the duo from Lucknow.
Charged: 52 year old Robin Wellstead from Lucknow for failure to comply.
47 year old Shelley Wellstead from Lucknow for obstruction, resisting a peace officer, dangerous operation and assault.
