Ontario is easing a number of restrictions as COVID-19 hospitalizations and other key indicators continue to trend in the right direction.
Dr. Paula Stewart, Medical Officer of Health, tells us as long as we keep doing what we’ve been doing, it’s the right move.
Capacity limits in restaurants, bars, gyms, meeting spaces and some other spots are removed.
Social gathering limits are now 50 indoors and 100 outside, while organized public events are limited to 50 inside but no limit outside.
Sports teams will start to see more fans too as they can now allow 50% capacity. That includes the home of the Maple Leafs and Raptors in Toronto, and Senators in Ottawa.
