The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority has issued a water safety message.
With a warm front bringing warm temperatures near 10 degrees today and heavy rainfall possible , a quick snowmelt and runoff is expected.
The ABCA is not anticipating any major flooding but water levels will rise and minor flooding in some areas is possible.
Water flows are expected to peak overnight and tomorrow in small streams while larger rivers are expected to be impacted Thursday or Friday.
Everyone is reminded to avoid waterways as the banks could be slippery and hazardous.
The warning is in effect until noon on Friday.
