A traffic stop led to an arrest and an officer taken to the hospital.
On Monday (Feb 21) police noticed a vehicle on Second Street in Thedford with stolen plates so they pulled the driver over and they were taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation police learned the vehicle and a second set of plates had been stolen, and a search of the vehicle turned up a replica firearm and suspected fentanyl.
After the suspected fentanyl was found an officer began experiencing symptoms of contacting the drug, and was taken to the hospital.
26 year old Anthony Riley from North Middlesex is facing charges for stolen property, possession of an imitation weapon, possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and other crimes.
