Today it was announced that the mask mandate is becoming a thing of the past.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore announced that as of March 21st you won’t need to wear masks in most settings.
Dr. Moore did add that masks will still need to be worn on transit, in hospitals and health care settings until April 27th.
Dr. Moore also announced changes to isolation rules.
Dr. Moore did say that people who are living with someone who is positive with COVID-19 may still go to work or school but they need to wear a mask.
As for close contacts, isolation is no longer required but you must self monitor for 10 days and wear a mask as much as possible.
