It’s been a long time coming but renovation work will soon be taking place at the South Huron Rec Centre.
As myFM previously reported, South Huron Council approved a budget of $4.5 million for the renovations.
During the council’s latest meeting a presentation was made that highlighted the renovations.
That was Kyle Benassi with Invizij Architects, who also highlighted that there will be automatic sliding doors at the entrance.
The lobby, dasher boards and washrooms will be done first followed by the new dressing rooms.
The hope is to have them completed by the end of August but the new hockey season may have to start with just the old dressing rooms.
