Police are reminding residents that off road vehicles have a time and place and to make sure you know what those are.
Huron County OPP say there are designated trails for ORV’s and ATV’s and and there are rules in place to keep everyone safe.
Rules such as, you must be at least 16 years old and hold a G2 or M2 licence to operate either one on a road, you must travel in the same direction as traffic and you must wear an approved motorcycle helmet.
Police recommend all owners and operators become familiar with the Smart Ride Safe Ride ORV Handbook.
OPP will be patrolling various trails and those who do not follow the rules will be charged.
