Huron Waves Music Festival is back after 2 pandemic years away. For the month of June, they’ve had music events happening all over South Huron. John Miller, the Artistic Director of the festival tells myFM the thought process behind Huron Waves.
The Queer Songbook Orchestra (QSO) is a 13-piece professional chamber pop ensemble which dedicates itself to utilizing story and song to express, honour, and elevate LGBTQ2S+ experiences. QSO comes to Huron Waves both to play a great concert and to foster dialogue towards a just, equitable and accessible society, with inclusiveness and acceptance for every Canadian in this 21st century.
The QSO will perform on Thursday, June 16th, 2022 at 7:30 pm at the Coach House at Hessenland Inn and Schatz Winery in St. Joseph .
Huron Waves Music Festival will present a special concert that will celebrate Ukrainian culture and raise funds for young Ukrainians studying in Southwestern Ontario. Dubbed ‘We Stand With Ukraine’, the concert will be held on Sunday, June 19 at 3 pm at Grand Bend Place in Grand Bend.

Accompanied by pianist Todd Yaniw, Bora Kim, exceptional young Canadian violinist takes time out from her successes in Toronto and New York to come back home to Exeter to bring a concert of stunning works by great composers of the past and now of contemporary Canada.
