Lambton Public Health is updating its Positive Space policy in order to keep being more and more inclusive.
The update coincides with the 53rd anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and the beginning of the Pride movement.
It also builds on the current policy that was first introduced in 2017 that recognizes the health unit as an open and welcoming place for all sexual orientations and gender identities.
Lambton Public Health’s policy makes it clear that all LPH facilities, programs and services will be inclusive, use gender-neutral language and that all staff will be trained to support the Positive Space policy.
