Recently Middlesex OPP were called about a scam.
The fraud victim met an individual online who claimed they were a financial investor who specializes in Crypto Currency.
The victim invested nearly $100,00 with the so-called investor. This investigation is currently ongoing.
It is so important to verify any unsolicited requests before you respond or provide personal information. If you feel pressured, hang up the phone or delete the senders profile.
