In May, the Middlesex Workforce Development Partnership launched its third Young Entrepreneurs Business Plan Contest.
The contest asked youth between the ages of 8-18 to complete an entry form and submit a business plan by the beginning of July.
To qualify, each participant needed to be a resident of Middlesex County, have a great idea for a business they intend to start in 2022, and possess a budding entrepreneurial mindset.
Each plan was critiqued by 3 members of the Middlesex Workforce Development Partnership.
The winning business plan for the 8-12 age group came from Aurora Powers from Middlesex Centre, for her “Field Side Freezies” business.
For the 13-18 age group was Katie Legg from Lucan Biddulph, for her “Down to Earth Farms” business.
