Staffing challenges continue at our local hospitals.
The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance has announced that due to staffing shortages there will be some impacts this week to the Seaforth Community Hospital.
The Emergency Department will close today at 5 PM and reopen tomorrow at 7 AM.
The department will also close at 5 PM on Friday before reopening for regular hours of operation (24/7) on Saturday at 7 AM.
HPHA says the COVID-19 pandemic and increased demands on the healthcare system will see these trends continue throughout the summer.
If you do need emergency medical attention call 9-1-1 and you will be taken to the closest open Emergency Department.
Anyone with non-urgent health concerns can call 8-1-1 for 24/7 non-emergency-related health questions.
