After a 3 year pause an annual event is back!
The Huron County Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run is taking place on September 8th.
The event is important as it encourages law enforcement as well as members of the community to come together, and walk, run, scooter or stroll together all in support of raising awareness and funds for Special Olympics.
This year’s Torch Run will start at 9 Am at the Maitland River Community Church in Wingham on Josephine Street.
The Torch Run will go through Wingham, ending at the south end of town before participants are taken to Blyth, Clinton and Goderich, where joy will be brought to local communities, and everything will finish with a BBQ at McGee Motors in Goderich.
Anyone looking to donate can do so with cash or cheques made payable to “Ontario Special Olympics”.
Bus transportation will be provided free of charge from Goderich to Wingham. Please arrive at the Goderich Legion located on Kingston Street prior to the 8:00 a.m. departure time.
