With the seasons changing many animals are on the move.
Police and myFM want to ensure the safety of wildlife and drivers.
Some tips to keep you safe is to be extremely alert from sunset to midnight and just before sunrise, drive with caution in areas with large deer populations, and remember that deer don’t travel alone.
Other tips include using high beams, slow down and blow your horn at deer, brake firmly if you see a deer but do not swerve, always wear your seatbelt, and don’t rely on devices like deer whistles, fences or reflectors.
