Huron East has made a deal with a property owner to potentially put in a cannabis operation.
Bernie McLellan says there isn’t a company lined up just yet to start producing Cannabis though.
This deal will bring Huron East some peace of mind, says McLellan. By having them under contract they can deal with issues more effectively if any arise.
Instead of going through a By-Law officer, having the property under contract can have issues dealt with more effectively.
McLellan says by having them under contract, the Municipality can go over what is required of the property owner for a potential cannabis operation, like filtration to avoid anything in the air, including smell.
The property is located in Vanastra, but no cannabis businesses is going in at this time.
