The Spirit of Christmas is alive and well in the town of Goderich.
On Saturday, they have their ‘Festival of Lights’ ceremony at 7pm followed by their Santa Clause Parade.
But Lisa Hood, Goderich Tourism Events and Marketing Coordinator says a special event is happening Friday.
This event will have a quiet ceremony with musical performances.
Hood says this ceremony is a great place to lean on other people during a time that may be hard for some people.
Happening on Saturday is the Goderich Festival of Lights! Hood says everyone will gather in the Court House Square Park at 6:30pm. John Powers will be performing some Holiday tunes and hot chocolate will be available, courtesy of Goderich Tim Hortons.
at 7pm, the lights will go on and the Santa Clause Parade will start soon after! There are over 50 floats this year.
Hood says you can keep an eye out for Santa.
