The Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund is designed to help rural municipalities that have less resources than urban centres.
This year however, local municipalities are getting less money than ever before.
Most municipalities are getting less funding including North Middlesex who is getting less than 14 percent.
The only local community getting more funding is Lucan Biddulph who is getting a 6.6 increase to $532 thousand.
One of the key factors in calculating the amount given to municipalities is the number of households.
