The OPP are issuing a reminder to drivers to renew their license and vehicle registration as the Automated Licence Plate Recognition, or ALPR, system rolls out province wide.
The ALPR has been on the roads in select cruisers for the past few years but is now more widespread.
In a video posted to social media, OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt reminds everyone there’s no cost for renewals.
The ALPR can also identify car owners who have arrest warrants out as well.
Schmidt said they flagged 32 vehicles for infractions in 22 minutes of having the system on.
