The current job market is making it easier for Ukrainians to find jobs when they come to Huron County.
According to Huron County’s Immigration Partnership Manager, Mark Nonkes, about 70 people from Ukraine have come to Huron County.
20 to 30 of those people have found jobs within a week of looking. Jobs have been found in manufacturing, skilled trades and more, depending on the work skills they bring from Ukraine. Some are able to continue with their career they had overseas.
Nonkes adds that if there was more available housing in Huron County, more people would be able to relocate here and find jobs.
