Perth County has approved the 2023 budget following a presentation last week.
There is a 9.06% increase to the levy the total amount now over $19.7 Million, up almost $1.6 Million from last year.
The 2023 Taxable assessment in Perth County from 2022 will cover 2.54% of the levy. The remaining 6.52% being the levy increase directly related without the County’s 2022 assessment growth.
For a single family home, that is an increase if just under $50.
It’s predicted that the 2024 budget will also see increased costs before it goes down hopefully in 2025. Growth will continue to offer some of the costs.
