Huron OPP charged a person with 19 criminal offenses after police received a tip on March 24th.
At about 10 am, police got a call for a break and enter at a Motel on Bayfield Road in Goderich.
A male had been found sleeping in one of the rooms and had not paid for it. Investigation showed he forced himself through a window and caused damage.
The suspect left before police arrived but the motel staff had video evidence.
Police found the suspect in Goderich and arrested him. He was brought to the Clinton detachment and during a search, police found weapons, break-and-enter tools, and stolen property.
32-year-old Aaron Wedge from no fixed address was charged with break and enter, 5 counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited, five counts of possession of ammunition while prohibited, having break and enter tools, stolen property, and six counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody. The accused has a court appearance in Goderich on April 4th, 2023.
