Huron County Chief Administrative Officer Meighan Wark has been appointed to the County Caucus of the Association of Municipalities Ontario Board of Directors. Wark will hold the position until the term expires in 2024.
Wark’s duties will include helping to establish policy for the association and serve as a key municipal leader in the province.
“Through AMO, the County of Huron engages with other municipalities in Ontario to work together, address common challenges, and advocate for our communities,” said Wark. “This collaborative approach is tremendously valuable for all of Ontario.”
During this term, the AMO will focus on various matters including housing and homelessness, municipal infrastructure, and broadband expansion.
“AMO Board members play a key role in advancing good public policy for the benefit of Municipal governments in every part of Ontario,” said AMO President Colin Best. “The AMO Board is delighted to welcome Meighan Wark as a member of the AMO County Caucus.”
