The municipality of Bluewater will officially adopt the proposed 2023 budget following a public meeting at council chambers in Varna on April 24th at 6:30 pm.
The budget includes a tax increase of 6.81% in municipal taxes and 6.5% in county taxes. Residents will see these increases reflected in their property taxes for the coming year.
Projects earmarked for this year’s budget include a variety of infrastructure initiatives such as repaving a section of Airport Line and replacing sidewalks in Dashwood, as well as upgrading and maintaining existing sports facilities through projects like upgrading lighting at the Stanley and Hensall arenas.
