As we approach the tourism season in our local hotspot of Grand Bend, there are lots to be excited about.
Between a bustling main street complete with two new multi-story buildings, as well as a couple of empty lots earmarked for development soon, there are lots of things to check out.
Municipality of Lambton Shores Mayor Doug Cook says that tourism is absolutely vital to the local economy
To make sure that Grand Bend is a welcoming place for everyone ahead of the May 2-4 weekend, the Mayor wants to remind visitors and locals alike to respect the rules of the beach, but most importantly to respect each other.
The big push comes after schools finish at the end of June, and from there, Grand Bend is bustling.
Although it may not be top of your list of things to hit in Grand Bend, this year the municipality is installing a new permanent washroom which will be self-cleaning. Cook hopes that it will be operational by July.
Alongside the goal of adding more parking, Mayor Cook says that there’s a lot of exciting development happening in Grand Bend that will fill those new spots with more cars,
