The previous industry gallery is receiving an overhaul
The Huron County Museum is shaking things up!
Senior Curator Elizabeth French-Gibson explains the museum wants to expand the stories they tell.
The new exhibit will focus on the history of industry across the entire County.
The revitalized space will have multiple themes, including: Lake and Labour, Natural Resources, Salt, and Industrial Diversity.
Continuing, French-Gibson says she’s hopeful for community support, noting the magnitude of the project.
Fundraising efforts are already underway, anyone interested in helping can contact fundraising coordinator, Jim Seale, at jseale@huroncounty.ca or at 519-440-8167
The Museum has an open house planned for May 18th, International Museum Day, detailing the new exhibit.
Everyone is welcome to attend the open house, which will include a tour of the new space and an in-depth presentation about the exhibit.
