spring flowers, Canada, Ontario, Whitby, Cullens Gardens & Miniture Village, Spring 2004
If you’re looking to spruce up your yard this spring, now is the time! The Seaforth and Area Horticultural Society is hosting it’s annual plant and bake sale, on Saturday May 13th.
Although it began as a private perennial exchange for members, they have since opened the event to the public – now anyone can come and purchase plants for their yard, and goodies for their belly.
Executive Member John Gross says that members divide and sell plants from their own collections,
The society looks after a wide swath of gardens around town says Gross,
He also said that although members will be tempted to buy the event out, there will still be a variety of perennials available for purchase,
The event opens up at 8:30, and closes whenever they’re sold out (which is usually about 10:30 or so), but if you’re keen and want to get your hands on something special, the best pick will be available first thing in the morning.
If you want more information, you can find it on their website at seaforthdhs.org
