Huron OPP took to a different ‘field’ on April 27th.
The OPP and Central Huron Secondary School Senior Students played a ‘friendly’ game of ball hockey in support of the Huron County Food Bank.
The game was played at the Eastlink Arena in Clinton. Both teams gave it their all. After a tough three periods, and some ‘questionable timekeeping’ by the students, the final score was debatable, depending on who you ask.
The true winner of the game was the Food Bank who received a donation of nonperishable food items from both parties.
“It was a great game with lots of fantastic plays from both teams. Anytime we can interact with our local youth in a fun way, it’s very positive for both. The community support was excellent with people of all ages in the stands. No major injuries were reported, and everyone had fun for a great local cause. Thanks again to everyone that came out on Thursday to support the teams and donate to the food bank.” said Constable Craig Soldan of the Huron OPP.
