A confrontation led to OPP evacuating some homes, and blocked off a portion of Ontario Street North in Grand Bend.
Last Thursday, officers were called to a home to look into an altercation when they encountered a 28-year-old man from North Middlesex.
It is alleged the accused approached officers while wielding a knife.
Cameron Walsh was arrested and charged with several offences including assaulting a peace officer.
