The OPP wants to remind drivers to stay focused behind the wheel while celebrating this long-weekend.
According to the OPP, a majority of the 359 people killed in 2022 pointed to bad decisions on the part of drivers and passengers.
Some of the reasons the OPP lists are aggressive and distracted driving, driving when under the influence of alcohol and drugs, general fatigue, and riding without a seatbelt.
Officers will be out in full force this long-weekend and want drivers to make smart decisions while travelling.
